Table of Contents
Gym Leaders across Johto and Kanto may give you their phone number so you can rematch them. In these rematches, the gym leaders use higher level Pokémon and often different Pokémon, some from 3rd or 4th generation. This page is organized in the same order as the badges listed on your Trainer Card.
Here are the times of day, for reference:
- Morning (04:00 to 09:59)
- Day (10:00 to 19:59)
- Night (20:00 to 03:59 the next day)
Johto Leaders
Falkner (Violet City)
Falkner can be found all day Monday, at the 4th floor of the Celadon City Dept. Store, chatting with Janine about their fathers. Listen to their conversation, then agree with Falkner to get his cell phone number.
Falkner is available for rematches every Saturday morning.
Bugsy (Azalea Town)
Bugsy can be found hanging out in Viridian Forest, near the southern entrance on a nearby ledge. He's there all day Thursday. Talk to him and he'll give you his cell phone number.
He's available for a rematch Thursdays, during Daytime.
Whitney (Goldenrod City)
Whitney can be found at the top floor of the Goldenrod City Dept. Store, at the table at the west end. She's there during her afternoon break, Saturdays between 12:00 and 16:00. Chat with her and she'll give you her number.
She's available for rematches on Saturday, during Daytime.
Morty (Ecruteak City)
Morty is morose about Ho-oh not choosing him, so he's hanging out at the Ecruteak Bellchime Trail (on the way to the Bell Tower), on Mondays and Tuesdays. Chat with him and he'll give you his cell phone number.
Morty is available for a rematch on Tuesday Nights. 
You must call him before midnight!
Chuck (Cianwood City)
Find Chuck's wife (a brunette) just outside of his gym. She'll offer to give you Chuck's cell phone number.
As his wife tells you, Chuck takes a break from his training (and thus open to rematches) on Wednesday Nights.
Jasmine (Olivine City)
Jasmine can be found at the Olivine City Café, just west of the Pokémon Center, every day between 13:00 and 14:00. She'll give you her cell phone number after chatting with you.
She is available for a rematch on Wednesday, during Daytime.
Pryce (Mahogany Town)
Pryce enjoys spending his Mornings at the west bank of the Lake of Rage. Talk to him then to get his cell phone number.
He's available for a rematch every Monday Morning.
Clair (Blackthorn City)
Don't attempt this without an entire team at least level 65.
Clair's cell phone number must be *earned*, by battling her alongside her brother Lance (yeah, total WTF moment). You'll find her and Lance at the shrine inside the Dragon's Den on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, the same days your rival is hanging out there. Surf south to the shrine, and chat with your rival. Clair and Lance will come along behind you, and challenge both of you to a double battle.
Be careful in the battle; you're up against the two best Dragon trainers in the game! It's worth it, too: you'll get 44,400P for your trouble. Once you've bested them, they'll bid you farewell. Clair can later be found at the Dragon's Den every Morning, where she'll give you her cell phone number.
Clair is available for rematches every Friday Night. Be sure to call her before midnight!
Kanto Leaders
Brock (Pewter City)
Brock hangs out at the west side of Diglett's Cave every day from 12:00 to 15:00. Chat with him and he'll give you his cell phone number.
He's available for rematches every Saturday Night. Be sure to call him before midnight!
Misty (Cerulean City)
Misty can be found on Route 25, just east of Bill's house. She's there every day from 16:00 to 18:00. Chat with her and she'll give you her cell phone number.
Misty is available for rematches every Wednesday Morning.
