Eviciv 1024×600 USB HDMI monitor
This is a fun little screen that the Raspberry Pi can be mounted onto the back of. It supports multiple aspect ratios, and an internal resolution of up to 1920×1080.
Due to oddities between Linux distros, be sure to use these options in your config.txt
:
hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=1 hdmi_mode=87 hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0
Using the above, I was able to get Recalbox (an EmulationStation spin) to output in the correct resolution.
Raspberry Pi 4
This screen comes with gear mostly for a Pi 3. While the Pi 4 can be mounted onto the back, you will need to find an HDMI-to-miniHDMI adaptor with a short cable to get the same experience you can get from the HDMI ribbon that comes with this screen. For this reason, you should probably look for another screen if you're going with a Pi 4.
